Do not settle for a lower alloy. All of our stainless is Marine Grade 316 Stainless (A4). The higher nickel content in our 316SS alloys makes them more corrosion resistant than the 304SS (A2) and 18-8 alternatives. Upgrade to 316SS if your fasteners will be used in a marine environment or other corrosive environments.
The big box stores sell inferior stainless metals simply labeled as “stainless”. They do not name the alloy.
