Dr Xenia Constantinidou, in Opsis Medical Imaging has the special training and experience to manage all of the radiological imaging modalities, in order to answer the question of the referring clinical doctor. At our center we offer all range of Ct-scans and MRIs. We have also established collaborations with other radiologists that have specialisation in those modalities. Additionally, we are the first center in Cyprus that collaborates with a dedicated cardiology team consisting of accredited-specialists regarding CT of Coronary Arteries and MRI CARDIAC. Ultrasound is a painless, patient-friendly examination with no radiation at all. Ultrasound is an examination with a high degree of subjectivity (operateror dependent) and the correct diagnosis depends to a large extent on the training and experience of the doctor who performs it. In recent decades, the guiding principle of radiation safety is “ALARA”. ALARA stands for “as low as reasonably achievable”. This principle means that even if it is a small dose, if receiving that dose has no direct benefit, you should try to avoid it.
