Being a gym bunny and a runner can be increasingly hard as you try and balance work, family, friends and life. Lack of time or energy for a 2 hour round trip to the gym, getting up at dawn to fit it in a spin class or an evening run, often leads to burnout and exhaustion. Stopping and deprioritising exercise altogether, however, impacts not only your physical health but your mental health as well as feeling sluggish, unhappy with your body and not performing at your best.
Looking after our own health and fitness is the foundation to our lives, enabling us to help others, each other and our families. It is our oxygen mask, and we need to put that on first. Whether you just have 10 minutes or half an hour. That is enough to make you feel energised and ready to take it all on all over again.
